The President of the Arab International Center for Research and Strategic Studies met Dr. Walaa Al-Batat addressed His Excellency Eng. Mohammed Al-Amour, Minister of National Economy, to discuss the annual Palestine Forum for Economic Transformations.

Ramallah – Dr. Walaa Batat, President of the Arab International Center for Research and Strategic Studies, met with His Excellency Eng. Mohammed Al-Amour, Minister of National Economy, at the Ministry's headquarters, to discuss ways of cooperation and partnership in preparation for the organization of the annual Palestine Forum for Economic Transformations. The meeting came in the context of enhancing integration between government institutions and research centers, and in a way that contributes to the development of strategic dialogue platforms capable of addressing the current economic challenges in light of the existing political and economic transformations. During the meeting, an extensive discussion was held on the most important topics to be addressed by the forum, which focus on analyzing the reality of the Palestinian economy, foreseeing the prospects of economic policies, discussing tools to enhance economic stability and support productive sectors, in addition to highlighting the role of digitization and innovation in developing economic performance. The two parties stressed the importance of building an effective partnership that brings together the public sector, the private sector and the academic sector, in a way that enhances the production of applied economic knowledge based on scientific research, and contributes to the formulation of practical and implementable recommendations and policies that reflect positively on the economic reality. The importance of the Forum's professional research outputs and their role in supporting the economic decision-making process was also stressed, through the submission of proposals based on in-depth scientific analysis that keeps pace with the specificity of the stage and its challenges. The two sides agreed to continue coordination during the next phase, to discuss the mechanisms of cooperation and partnership, in order to ensure that the forum is organized in a manner that reflects its importance as an inclusive national platform for economic dialogue, and capable of making a tangible impact on the course of Palestinian economic policies.
